INTRODUCTION
GMC Alumni Association Pakistan is an elected body of former students of Gujranwala Medical College, Gujranwala. The Alumni was established in 2022. It is the organization of old GEMCIANS and is affiliated with its office is situated in the main campus opposite to Coference room in Anatomy Department of GMC According to constitution, the Principal GMC is the Patron in Chief of the Alumni and currently Prof. Dr. Iqbal hussain dogar is the regular prinicpal of GMC and Patron in Chief of GMC Alumni.
Dr. Abdul Rehman Alvi, Head Of Department of Surgery, GMC is the Chief Coordinator of the Alumni. All old graduate doctors of GMC are eligible to apply for membership of the Alumni. Elections of its various offices take place biannually in the GMC campus. However, next elections will be held in JAN 2026.
The Alumni arranges intellectual, social, cultural and sports events where o ld GEMCIANS meet and interact. The Alumni work to assist and help the GMC in different fields. It is also instrumental for collection of funds from the old GEMCIANS for GMC Endowment Fund Trust which is used to provide financial aid to deserving students and for development of the College.
