Editorial Guideline

Peer review policy:

Reviewers and writers are kept anonymous during the whole review process in the peer-reviewed publication, which employs "double-blind" reviews. The section editors first review submitted publications for scope, appropriateness, plagiarism, and formatting issues. Manuscripts rejected are returned to their authors. Recommendations for papers are submitted to reviewers after the first screening, and they are asked to reply in no more than three weeks. The reviewer may be changed with someone more qualified to continue the process of review without any interruption if they do not respond within the allotted period. An additional expert opinion will be sought if the referees' reports conflict with one another or if a report is excessively delayed.

Plagiarism policy:

The Gujranwala Medical College Journal makes use of Turnitin, a similarity index and anti-plagiarism program. The program examines submitted publications for plagiarism and duplication. Using Turnitin software, all submitted articles are initially assessed for similarity index. The similarity index (SI) cannot be more than 19% in accordance with HEC guideline. It needs to be less than 5% based on a single source. More than 19% similarity index will be automatically rejected and returned to the authors. The "title of the thesis," "Supervisor name," "Department and University name," and "year of submission" must all be declared on the original manuscript, which is then paid for and submitted during the submission procedure, whether it is taken from an author's M.Phil. or Ph.D. thesis.
