The Nephrology Unit DHQ Teaching Hospital Gujranwala was established in 2016.1t has a dialysis unit comprising of 16 hemodialysis stations where around 15,000 dialysis sessions take place every year. Outdoor and Indoor services are being provided to the patients with Renal diseases, Hypertension, Chronic kidney disease, Hemodialysis and Renal transplant. Procedures like central venous catheterization, long Term cuffed catheterization and renal biopsy are being performed on routine basis.Department is being run by two qualified and highly trained Nephrologists. Dr Nouman Hameed Sheikh and Dr Usman Khalid Cheema pre working as Assistant Professor of Nephrology.

Their team includes five Medical Officers and twoHouse Officers. With further infrastructure, manpower and capacity building we are dedicated to provide international standard of service to our patients. Development of Peritoneal dialysis and renal transplant medicine clinic is also in process.
