Department of Psychiatry established on 23rd July, 2015 with the mission to bring addicticts and psychologically disabled persons in Gujranwala back to life. With this mission in mind department provided psychiatric treatment, talk therapy, career counseling, pre-marital counselling, student counselling, couple therapy, liaison with central jail, police department psychological assessment and indoor services for addicts. First time ever we got installed Machine (rTMS) in whole Pakistan for the treatment of resistant depression which can bring patent out of depression in just 10 days. Since department's birth 80762 number of patients received successful treatment on outdoor and indoor basis, conducted numerous Awareness programmes, developed liaison with schools and published numerous research articles in national and international journals.

Motivated Faculty of Department which brought all services to Gujranawala comprises of Dr. Saqib Bajwa (AP & HOD), Dr. Muhammad Imran (Senior registrar), Dr. Sehar Naveed (Registrar), Dr. Hassan Jamil Sandhu (SMO), Dr. Asma Amin (WMO), Ms, Zaib un Nissa (Sr. clinical Psychologist), Ms.Snuneel Kanwal (Sr. clinical Psychologist), Ms. Nabeeha Azam (Speech therapist) and Mr. Mudassar (Social Medical Officer).

Our vision is to establish a comprehensive Psychiatric facility which comprises all the services at Gujranwala for the outdoor and indoor cases of Child, Adult and old age Psychiatry disorders.
