The department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Gujranwala Medical College /

DHQ- Teaching Hospital is one of the busiest department. At present department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, comprise of a dedicated team of 2 faculty members, 5 senior registrars and 4 consultants along with postgraduate residents, medical officers and house officers. They all work in true harmony and coordination to provide best quality care to patient of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. We are working in liason to provide best therapeutic and surgical services to patients 24/7within provided services. During last working year there were 5021 deliveries and 6114 cesarean section. We are also doing Gynaecological surgeries including surgeries for carcinoma, abdominal hysterectomy, vaginal hysterectomy and sling operation on regular basis.

High-risk patients are managed efficiently with multi disciplinary team approach. Referral has now been nil.

Apart from clinical activities, department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is involved in teaching and learning activities.
